About the Artist: Ruth M Bass
A contemporary artist dedicated to redefining the artistic landscape. My latest work blends delicate watercolor washes with my passion for photography and a deep sense of regional nostalgia.
Through these innovative designs, I challenge viewers to question the boundaries between reality and imagination.
“For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of being mentored by the internationally acclaimed artist Hollis Chatelain.”

Public art on the Oregon coast
My life-sized sea lion, painted in acrylics, is displayed on US Hwy 101 in Yachats, Oregon.
I also designed 36 mosaic patterns that community volunteers used to create nine large mosaic planters. They now adorn the Oregon coastal cities of Yachats, Waldport, and Seal Rock.

Home in Osceola, Wisconsin
Bass Fine Art is based in Osceola, Wisconsin. Barns, silos, country roads and harbor towns return again and again in my Nostalgia and Naturescapes galleries.
My new artwork showcases an evolving vision that pushes artistic boundaries and offers fresh perspectives. As I continue to explore new horizons, my work promises to captivate and inspire, reflecting my dedication to both innovation and artistic excellence.
